Return, Replacement & Refund Policy

1. Our Commitment to You

At Shankhkashi, we take every measure to ensure your order reaches you safely and exactly as described. However, if you receive a damaged, defective, incorrect, or incomplete order, we are committed to resolving the issue quickly and smoothly.


2. Eligible Returns & Replacements

We accept return or replacement requests only under the following conditions:

✔ Damaged in Transit

The product was received in a broken, cracked, leaking, or physically damaged condition.

✔ Defective Product

The product has a manufacturing defect or does not function as described.

✔ Wrong Item Delivered

You received a different item, wrong variant, or incorrect size from what was ordered.

✔ Incomplete Order

One or more items are missing from your package.


3. Non-Returnable Items

Due to the sacred, consumable, and perishable nature of our products, the following items are not eligible for return or refund:

  • Products that have been opened, used, or consumed
  • Agarbatti, dhoop, camphor, hawan samagri, and other consumable puja items once the seal is broken
  • Fresh or perishable prasad items
  • Products damaged due to misuse, improper storage, or accidents after delivery
  • Products returned without original packaging, tags, seals, or accessories
  • Items returned after the 7-day return period
  • Sale or discounted products purchased during promotional offers
  • Gift cards or store credits
  • Returns requested due to change of mind, fragrance preference, colour preference, or similar reasons

4. Return Request Timeframe

All return or replacement requests must be raised within 7 days from the date of delivery.

Requests submitted after 7 days will not be accepted under any circumstances.


5. How to Raise a Return or Replacement Request

Follow the steps below to initiate a return or replacement request:

Step 1

Email us at support@shankhkashi.com within 7 days of delivery.

Step 2

Share the following details:

  • Order Number
  • Description of the issue
  • Clear product photographs
  • Unboxing video (recommended for damaged products)

Step 3

Our support team will review your request and respond within 48 hours.

Step 4

If approved, we will either:

  • Arrange a return pickup, or
  • Ask you to self-ship the product back to us.

Step 5

Once the returned product is received and inspected, we will process the replacement or refund.


6. Condition of Returned Products

To qualify for a return, the product must:

  • Be unused and unopened
  • Be returned in original packaging
  • Include all inserts, accessories, and complimentary items
  • Have all original labels, tags, and seals intact
  • Not be tampered with, altered, or washed

Products returned in unacceptable condition may be rejected and sent back at the customer’s expense.


7. Return Shipping

7.1 Pickup by Shankhkashi

If our courier partner services your area, we will arrange a free return pickup for approved cases involving:

  • Damaged products
  • Defective items
  • Wrong item delivery

7.2 Self-Ship Returns

If pickup is unavailable in your area, you will need to self-ship the product using a trackable courier service.

Please retain the shipping receipt for verification.

Return Shipping Reimbursement

  • Self-shipping costs will be reimbursed as store credit if the return is due to our error.
  • Shipping costs will not be reimbursed for non-qualifying return reasons.

8. Replacement Policy

Once the returned product is received and approved:

  • A replacement will be dispatched within 3–5 business days
  • If the same product is unavailable, we will offer:
    • Store credit, or
    • Refund
  • Replacement orders will be shipped to the original delivery address

9. Refund Policy

9.1 When Refunds Are Issued

Refunds will be issued in the following situations:

  • Product is out of stock and cannot be replaced
  • Approved return where replacement is not possible
  • Order cancelled before dispatch
  • Incorrect billing or payment errors from our side

9.2 Refund Timeline

Once approved:

  • Refunds are initiated within 3–5 business days
  • The amount may take an additional 5–7 business days to reflect in your account depending on your bank or payment provider

Estimated Refund Timelines

  • UPI / Net Banking: Usually faster
  • Credit / Debit Cards: Up to 10–14 business days depending on the issuing bank

9.3 Cash on Delivery (COD) Orders

For COD refunds, the amount will be transferred via NEFT/UPI to the bank account shared by the customer.

Please provide:

  • Bank Account Number
  • IFSC Code
  • Account Holder Name

10. Order Cancellation Policy

10.1 Cancellation Before Dispatch

You may cancel your order before dispatch by contacting us at:

A full refund will be processed to the original payment method within 5–7 business days.

10.2 Cancellation After Dispatch

Once an order has been dispatched, cancellation is no longer possible. However, you may request a return after delivery if eligible under this policy.

10.3 Cancellation by Shankhkashi

We reserve the right to cancel orders in the following situations:

  • Product is out of stock
  • Suspected fraudulent activity
  • Payment verification failure
  • Incorrect pricing due to technical issues
  • Delivery not serviceable to the provided address

In such cases, a full refund will be issued automatically.


11. Products Damaged in Transit

If your order arrives damaged:

  • Record an unboxing video before opening the package completely
  • Report the issue within 48 hours of delivery
  • Email us at support@shankhkashi.com
  • Include:
    • Order Number
    • Product photographs
    • Packaging photographs
    • Unboxing video

Our team will review the case and arrange a suitable replacement or refund.


12. Exchange Policy

Currently, direct product exchanges are not available.

If you wish to order a different product or variant:

  1. Initiate a return request (if eligible)
  2. Place a new order separately

Store credit can be used for future purchases.


13. Store Credit

In certain situations, we may issue store credit instead of a refund.

Store Credit Terms

  • Valid for 12 months
  • Cannot be converted into cash
  • Can be partially or fully used on future orders at Shankhkashi

14. Fraudulent or Misuse of Return Policy

Shankhkashi reserves the right to reject return or refund requests in cases involving:

  • Fraudulent claims
  • Excessive return abuse
  • Misuse of the policy

We may also suspend or terminate customer accounts without prior notice in such situations.


15. Changes to This Policy

Shankhkashi reserves the right to modify or update this policy at any time without prior notice.

Changes will be published on this page along with the revised effective date. Continued use of the website constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
